Program Vision
To empower families and individuals with informed choices about reproductive health through integrated, accessible, and sustainable family planning services.
Strategic Objectives
- Expand Family Planning Services: Grow the client base for women’s and men’s contraception products.
- Integrate with Home Nursing and MHPSS: Deliver family planning during home visits, health post services, and outreach activities.
- Address Religious Misconceptions: Engage religious and cultural groups to address misconceptions about family planning.

Service Delivery Models
Family planning services are delivered via four key channels:
- Home Visits: Collaborative visits with Home Nursing and MHPSS for contraceptive counseling and routine care.
- Health Posts: 3-days-a-week services at Itambabiniga and Bukere health posts.
- Premises Appointments: Consultations and care at GIVE-Africa premises.
- Self-Administration Support: Training clients to self-administer contraception, such as Sayana injections or pills.
Strategic Plan (2025–2027)
Our plan is structured around annual and quarterly goals to expand and optimize family planning services.
Year 2025: Foundation and Mobilization
- Increase women clients to 500/month by Q4.
- Train staff on FP integration during joint home visits.
- Engage 100 churches/sects to address misconceptions.
Year 2026: Scaling Services
- Expand home visits to new refugee settlements.
- Enhance health post services with self-administration training.
- Increase women clients to 650/month by Q4.
Year 2027: Consolidation and Outreach
- Launch advanced outreach efforts integrating FP with MHPSS community events.
- Increase women clients to 1000/month by Q4.
- Evaluate service impact in refugee settlements.
Integration with Sister Programs
Home Nursing
- Include FP counseling during home visits.
- Distribute FP products during nursing rounds.
- Co-manage education sessions on maternal and child health.
MHPSS
- Address emotional barriers to FP adoption during consultations.
- Organize joint community sessions focusing on family health.
- Provide mental health referrals for reproductive health decisions.
Key Products and Outreach Goals
Women’s Products: Sayana (injections), Mifepristone, Implanon, Microgygnon/Lofeminal pills, and male condoms.
Male Contraception: Vasectomy promotion as a permanent solution.
